The debate of a black hole shadow being found in the next decade....may be null. The current hypothesis is that a black hole is so massive and so gravitationally strong that not even light can escape a black hole. Another hypothesis states that the black hole is only a cluster of many exotic dark stars. My hypothesis is that the current search to view the shadow of the black hole will be fruitless for the black hole itself is a shadow. The reason I believe this is I think that the black hole itself is a shadow of a whirlpool of an "infinite" collection of rotating stars around one central incomprehensible mass of star. The shape of a shadow of a whirlpool is what shape? CIRCLE/OVAL.
The magnetic flares or whatever they may be which have been observed at the outer rim of the black hole (or in my hypothesis a shadow of something grander) may only be a matter of relative depth perception.
